October 3, 1993 "An Amazing Boy was Born"
On  a beautiful Sunday morning on October 03, 1993 at 1:02 pm, Our Sweetwas born.
How ironic that the song "Sunday Morning" was one of the songs he liked to listen to by Maroon 5!
From the time Robert woke until it was bedtime this beautiful baby boy had a smile always from cheek to cheek.

Summer 1994

This was when Robert was introduced to the beach.  With his sisters and myself and his Aunt Jill we were at Bayhead Beach everyday just about.  Robert started out going in the playyard and by the time he was able to walk he was in the water with his sisters like a fish.  This was the start of his amazing love for the ocean.  From then on every summer between the beach and Great Adventure that's where you could find us.

At 14 months
When Robert was 14 months he was a late walker and loved his stroller, i guess he figured why walk if mommy and my sisters are gonna push me.  We didn't mind though he was such a content and happy toddler.

summer of 1995

At age of almost 3, it was time for a bed so off we went to Brielle Furniture.  Of course every little boy needs denium in his bedroom so between the denium and the seagul and crab stuff it was complete.  Now, all he had to do was sleep in his new bed by himself.  Well, for the next three months daddy and I took turns everynite laying with him , rubbing his back until he fell asleep which was in about six minutes or less.  What a sweetheart but alittle scared of this big new bed.  Once he was used to it those few minutes each night didn't matter anymore.

September 1997

In September of 1997 it was time for Pre-School.   Robert was accepted into St. Dominic Pre-School- two days a week program, at age 4 come October.  He was so excited to be going with one thing wrong he thought mommy was going to.  When he saw all the other mommies leaving then he was just fine with me not aloud to stay.  So, for the first couple of days his gram and i would sit in the parking lot so that Robert knew we were not far from him.

September 1998

Robert finished his pre-school education at St. Dominic this year with a great foundation for kindergarten and for religion.  It was nice to see the religion incorporated into his day giving his added foundation for the respect of people and his faith.

Kindergarten at the PLC
Kindergarten was a big transition for Robert, he thought every year would be in the same classroom with the same teacher.  Once he saw other children he went to St. Dom's with he was fine and it wasn't long before he made many new friends.  Roberts' personality was so likeable you would want to be his friend, and he had many.

Midstreams 2000
First grade Robert was having difficulty concentrating in such a large classroom , ---coming from pre-school of 1out of 8 , then the PLC was at 18 children in his class now there's 26 in the class WOW  what a huge adjustment.  By the spring he was having alot of difficulty so we decided at the end of the school year to switch schools.  What a turn around Robert did with studies, his concentration, everything.  The move to another school was the right one for him.  He loved it there and was very happy he was doing better with his studies.

St. Thomas Christian Academy 2001- 2nd grade

Robert was accepted and attended St. Thomas Christian Academy for the years 2001 and 2002.  The whole set up is so nice, we had orientation and  you met all your classmates and teachers for each subject.   The religion was wonderful everyday just teaching about being a good Christian and teaching everyone to treat people the way you want to be treated.  The structured invironment combined with their decipline was a true asset to our Roberts' character, mixed with alot of love from us.

St. Thomas Christian Academy 2002- 3rd grade

By this year Robert was doing wonderfully in everything he touched.  He finished out the year as a B student...which was fantastic.  The two years he spent here at St. Thomas shaped his character into a wonderful young boy with much respect for everyone.  It was the best thing we ever did was put him in this school.  Also,  a major contribution was his teacher Mrs. Frank with a classroom consisted of only 12 including himself, which makes a big impact on your learning.  In Roberts' case it sure did pay off.

2003 At North Dover Elementary School - 4th grade

Well, now this year we decided Robert was ready for public again being that he had done so well in St. Thomas.  Our family had moved in mid-year last year from Brick to North Dover.  Robert finished out the year at St. Thomas and had asked us if he could try out public with his new friends he had made.    All his new friends in the neighborhood all attended North Dover so we thought we'd  take a chance and see how he would adjust to public school again.   It wasn't a surprise that Robert did beautifully with the transition from the two schools, we knew he was ready.  His teacher told me if all my students were like Robert i'd teach school 7 days a week all year long.   Everyone in the school that met him just loved him  and wanted to be his friend.  The welcome he received made us feel like this is where he belongs.

Summer 2004

Out of every summer I think this was Roberts' favorite.  I have never seen him so happy.  The body surfing he would do and to watch him be so happy in the ocean brought us all such laughter.  He had so much fun in the water with Pop Sullivan and being buried by Gram in the sand. The best was watching him and his dad when we'd get to the beach around 8:30 in the morning, lifequards weren't there yet so you could really do whatever before they came. They would race to see who would get in the water first and of course it was always Robert. His dad would throw him passes with the football right before he'd fall in the water Robert would make the catch....most of the time. There was never any question of the love these two had and still have for each other, it's amazing!

North Dover 2004- Fifth grade
Fifth grade started off really good with Robert making new friends in class and really liking his new teacher.  He was well liked by everyone who knew him.   Robert was getting really interested in playing football and was very good at it when they played at recess.  So, Dad and I decided that next summer we would let him try out for the TR Football league.
Roberts' year was cut short and his friends will always remember him as they watched him smiling as he  made his last touchdown on October 1, 2004 in recess.

October 4, 2004 "An Amazing boy taken too soon"

On October 3rd, 2004 Robert was hit by an SUV in his neighborhood on his 11th birthday.  Robert died on October 4, 2004 at 12:51 am due to his injuries.  We love him and miss him terribly every single waking moment.
